Journal of Epistemology and Metascience in Medicine and Biology is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal devoted to the critical study of how knowledge is generated, justified, evaluated, reproduced, interpreted, and communicated in medicine and biology.

The journal publishes original research, epistemological and philosophical analyses, meta-research and metascience studies, systematic and conceptual reviews, perspectives, essays, commentaries, and letters. Relevant topics include scientific evidence, causality, diagnosis, classification, uncertainty, reproducibility, research practices, methodological quality, open science, publication bias, statistical reasoning, philosophy of medicine, philosophy of biology, research integrity, artificial intelligence in science, and related issues concerning the foundations and practice of medical and biological research.

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers, clinicians, biologists, philosophers of science, epidemiologists, methodologists, statisticians, and other scholars from all countries.

Open Access Policy
The journal provides immediate open access to its content, with the aim of promoting the free dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge.

Peer Review
Research articles, reviews, and scholarly analyses are evaluated through peer review. Editorials, letters, and selected commentaries may undergo editorial review according to their nature.
